THORNDON RECLAMATION, WELLINGTON, (RETURN SHOWING COST OF, ETC.)
Return to an. Order of the Souse of Representatives, dated 25th August, 1881. " That there be laid upon the table a return showing the amount paid to the contractor for the reclamation of that portion of Wellington Harbour known as the Tborndon reclamation, and the amount received by the Government for so much of the land bo reclaimed as has been sold by auction ; also showing the total area of land reclaimed, the area of land sold, and the area reserved by the Government for the Government Buildings, the Supreme Courthouse, the Resident Magistrate's Courthouse, the Police Station, the Railway Station and adjuncts, and the Harbour Board endowment ; further, the area still unsold and undisposed of."— (Mr. Hutchison)
