SINKING FUNDS.
REPORT AND ACCOUNTS OF THE COMMISSIONERS OF THE PUBLIC DEBTS SINKING FUNDS FOR THE YEAR ENDED 31st MARCH, 1884.
Laid before both Souses of the General Assembly in compliance with the 6th section of " The Public Debts Sinking Funds Act, 1868."
EEPOET. Sib,— Wellington, 20th June, 1884. The Commissioners of the Public Debts Sinking Funds have the honour to lay before Parliament their report and accounts for the year ended 31st March, 1884. The Commissioners have no remarks to make with respect to the transactions of the year except to state that under the authority of the 16th section of " The Westland Loan Act, 1873," they have released and paid to the Consolidated Fund the funds accrued from the lands specially set apart under the Act. The amount so paid was ,£1,530 19s. lid. I have, &c, James Edward FitzGebald, Chairman of the Commissioners of the Public Debts Sinking Funds. The Hon. the Speaker of the House of Representatives.
