INSPECTOR OF HOSPITALS (RETURN OF TRAVELLING ALLOWANCES AND EXPENSES PAID TO).
Return to an Order of the House of Representatives dated the 23rd September, 1898. Ordered, " That there be laid before this House a return showing—(l) The travelling-allowances, (2) the travelling-expenses, and (3) any other allowances, drawn by Dr. MacGregor, Inspector of Hospitals and Asylums, for each year since his appointment."—(Mr. Gilfeddee.)'

Lunacy Department, Wellington, D. MacGregor. 3rd October, 1898. Travelling-allowance is at the rate of £1 ss. per day. This amount was fixed by the Government in Dr. MacGregor's original letter of appointment.
