Ordered, " That there be laid before this House a return showing the aggregate amount paid by all departments of the Government for legal expenses for the financial year 1898-99, showing the names of the legal firms to whom such moneys were paid, and giving similar information to that contained in H.-49, 1881; H.-34,1882 ; H.-31,1885; H.-51, 1889 ; H.-46, 1891; and H.-40 (Session II.), 1897."—(Mr. Fisher.)
