In conclusion, I must express my deep sense of indebtedness to Inspectors Hendry and Braik. The whole success of the school-work has been entirely dependent on their deep-rooted conviction chat the introduction of manual training into the schools of the district would be entirely for the benefit of the children and the community at large. The teachers also readily responded to the call made upon them, and the result aimed at by the Inspectors has thus been largely achieved. I have also to thank the Secretary (Mr. Neill) for help and counsel, which has materially assisted me in the prosecution of my duties. I must also record my thanks to the Secretary for Education and to the officials of the Education Department for the ever-ready help they have given in the work of establishing the new education in this district. And to the members of the Board I can only say that I shall endeavour to do my best in the position in which they have placed me. W. A. MoCaw, Director of Technical Instruction.
