Ordered " That there be laid before this House a return showing the total paid in salaries and wages during the financial year commencing the Ist April, 1903, and ending the 31st March, 190_-(_.) to Civil servants ; 6) to temporary olerks • and (c) to all persons, other than Civil servants, temporary clerks, and school-teaohers, employed by the Crown in any capaoity whatever, including persons employed in the publio works."—(Mr. Hbrdman.)
