Prosecution. During the year one society was prosecuted under the provisions of the Act for failing to render annual returns, the defendant society being convicted and fined £5 and Court costs. Registrations. There were registered during the past year twenty-three new branches, as follows : M.U.1.0.0.F. : Loyal Turua Lodge and Loyal Rangitaiki Lodge (Auckland District) ; Loyal Princess Elizabeth Lodge (Otago District). 1.0.0. F. : Endeavour Lodge, Rose of Arrow Rebekah Lodge, Jubilee Rebekah Lodge, and Ngaio Rebekah Lodge. U.A.O.D. : Frankton Lodge (Grand Lodge of the North Island of New Zealand). H.A.C.B.S. : Grahamstown Branch (Thames), Auckland Branch (Auckland), Onehunga Branch (Onehunga), Sancta Maria Branch (Auckland), St. Joseph's Branch (Waihi), St. Benedict's Branch (Auckland), St. Leo's Branch (Devonport), St. Columba's Branch (Frankton Junction). Good Shepherd Branch (Auckland), and St. Patrick's Branch (Mapiu), (Northern (N.Z.) District) ; S.S. Peter and Paul's Branch (Johnsonville), St. Martin's Branch (Pungarehu), Cathedral Branch (Auckland), St. John's Branch (Methven), and Blessed Peter Chanel's Branch (Auckland), (New Zealand District). There were also two isolated friendly societies : Wairarapa_ District Friendly Societies Hospital Association and Millerton Colliery Employees' Benevolent Society? The following registrations were cancelled by request: M.U.1.0.0.F. : Loyal Bulls Lodge (Wanganui District). 1.0.0. F. : Moana Rebekah Lodge and Te Ara Rebekah Lodge. A.O.F. : Court Pride of Dannevirke (Hawke's Bay District). P.A.F.S.A.: WicklifEe Lodge. The Christchurch and New Brighton Co-operative Money Club was dissolved. The following changes of name were approved: I.F.S. : " The Taumarunui United Friendly Societies' Dispensary "to " The Taumarunui United Friendly Benefit Society." W.M.C. : " Oxford Working Men's Club " to " Oxford Working Men's Club and Mutual School of Arts." The position of the Orders in respect of registrations is shown by the following summary as at the beginning and end of 1935.

W.M.C.—The Petone Working Men's Club and Literary Institute ; Oxford Working Men's Club and Mutual School of Arts. S.A.S.- —Invercargill United Friendly Societies' Dispensary. Partial Amendments of Rules registered.
